Inclusivity Awards for CES 24

Our Inclusivity Award applications are now CLOSED.

Here you will find information about Conference Fee Waivers & Travel Awards for CES 24. If eligible, you may apply for both.

CONFERENCE FEE WAIVERS

We are delighted to be able to provide a limited number of registration fee waivers to assist with the costs of attending the meeting either in-person or online. The funds are aimed towards individuals facing barriers to participating in academic meetings. Eligible individuals include but are not limited to applicants who are:

  • from low and middle income countries
  • from countries with limited funding for research;
  • individuals with disabilities;
  • individuals from communities who have been marginalised or are underrepresented in the academy;
  • individuals from low socioeconomic backgrounds;
  • carers of children or other dependents;
  • underemployed individuals;
  • individuals lacking other support for attending the meeting.

Funding decisions will prioritise criteria that help increase the diversity among CES conference participants. You do not have to submit a conference abstract to be eligible for a fee waiver, but depending on how many applications we receive we may prioritise presenters.

Please use this link to apply for a fee waiver. The deadline to apply for a fee waiver is 20th April 2024, 9:00am BST. The outcome of your application will be communicated to you prior to the Early Bird registration deadline of 20th May 2024, 4:00pm BST.

If you have any queries about your application or the fee waiver, please direct them to the EDI committee via email.
